How to get a noncustodial wallet
There are a lot of options available for web3 noncustodial wallets and the choice is ultimately yours but we are going to illustrate the next steps using the MetaMask Wallet. You can install the MetaMask browser extension or mobile application here.
Acquiring MATIC into your wallet
Just like choosing a wallet, there are also several options for acquiring crypto currency and have it held in your wallet. First, make sure that your wallet is set up for the Polygon Network. On Desktop, you can click the Connect Wallet button above to allow us to set up Polygon for you, or, you can manually set up the network in your wallet by going to settings, networks, add network, and adding the information below:
Network Name: Polygon
New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com
Chain ID: 137
Currency Symbol: MATIC
Block Explorer URL: https://www.polygonscan.com
You can purchase MATIC from an exchange such as Coinbase or Crypto.com and then send it to your wallet. If you're using MetaMask, you can purchase MATIC directly from the wallet. If you have ETH, you can bridge your ETH to the polygon network via Umbria to gain wETH and then you can convert your wETH to MATIC via Polygon.
Connecting your wallet
To connect your wallet to The Diner's minting page, click the Connect Wallet button above. On a desktop computer, if you are not connected to the Polygon network, it will request to your wallet to switch networks for you. If you do not have the Polygon network configured, it will request to your wallet to add the network for you. On mobile, check that you have your wallet configured for the Polygon network and are switched to it. If connection is successful, your wallet ID and balance should be visible in the boxes above.
Minting a CHUBBY
To mint a CHUBBY's Burgers Grade A NFT, click the Mint button above. This will send a transaction request to your wallet. Transactions on the blockchain require a fee called Gas in order to be completed. This fee is paid in MATIC. The busier the network is at the time of minting, the higher your fee will likely be. If the network is very busy, you transaction may fail unless you increase the gas fee. In MetaMask, you can adjust the gas by clicking Edit under Details in the transaction window. For a successful transaction, the high setting is recommended. If your transactions still fails, return to the same settings and click advanced options. Consider increasing the Gas Limit, Max Priority Fee, and Max Fee for a successful transaction, or try again when the network is less busy.
Your CHUBBY's Burgers Grade A NFT is now sent to your wallet's address. It can be viewed in your wallet if your wallet supports a NFT feature, or, it can be viewed on OpenSea.
